This competitive program is designed for college graduates and graduating college seniors with non-STEM degrees who are seeking to advance their technology skills and prepare for a career in software development.

About the program

The course is designed as a full-time (40-hours/week) instructor-led online synchronous learning. Meeting times will be Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (one hour lunch break). This 14-week, tuition free full-stack engineer training program is rigorous and fast paced.

Laptop or desktop computer with internet access is required to participant in the training program. 2U’s dedicated staff is here to help—through in-person and virtual office hours, as well as a dedicated #slack channel where you can get assistance.

Can I continue working while doing the Career Accelerator boot camp?

During the boot camp, you should be focused on being a full-time boot camp student. You can expect to be in class Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm). There is also rigorous homework to complete on evenings and weekends.

What is the daily time commitment?

Will I have an opportunity to be hired by Cognizant after I complete the Cognizant Career Accelerator?

Absolutely! The Career Accelerator is a direct path to a tech career with Cognizant. Successful Career Accelerator grads will join Cognizant.

Aside from the $11k full tuition scholarship, is there any other financial support for completing the Career Accelerator?

Yes, individuals who successfully complete the Career Accelerator’s 14-week course curriculum shall receive a $5,250 scholarship.

What required resources (hardware/software) will I need to participant in the training program?

Participants are required to have a laptop or desktop computer with internet access. Hardware Specs: Mac 10.13+ or Windows Professional 10+—no Linux—with at least dual processors (quad preferred) that are i5 or higher (i7 or higher preferred), and at least 8 GB Ram (16 GB preferred). It is requirement that you are able to download programming resources to your laptop/desktop for this class.
